Andrés Basurto is a Mexican painter and sculptor whose work transforms reclaimed glass into meticulously assembled mosaic sculptures. Using fragments of beer and wine bottles, he creates works that explore material, light, and the symbolic power of familiar forms.

Educated at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City and the School of Visual Arts in New York, Basurto has developed a practice rooted in craftsmanship and transformation.
